Cover: Reads "Nonhumanity: On Reasons Why. By The Dragonheart Collective" with the fictionfolk ink and pen symbol, the theta-delta, the transspecies symbol, the alterhuman symbol, and the otherkin star in a circle around a questionmark.

Page 1: Reads " "Why do you identify as nonhuman?" Different nonhuman identifying people have different answers to this;" Then a series of speech bubbles coming from different directions saying,

Then text that says, "...and many more!"

Page 2: Reads "But for Us* Its how we mentally see ourselves. Our internal self image simply looks a certain way, and it matches neither our body nor eachother" with a series of simple drawings below. On the left is a drawing of the author's body, a scruffy androgynous individual, notably wearing a hoodie, a collar, and glasses. On the right is three headshots in a vertical row, a frilly looking dragon, a feline with glowing eyes and horns, and a wolf with sharp teeth. Each has an 'X' next to it, emphasizing that the depicted self-images do not match the body. Underneath, the asterisk footnote reads, "* we-the-writers are a plural system. ie- many people in one body. see: morethanone.info"

Page 3: Reads, "Its an intense idea of self thats reflected on our body in the form of supernumerary phantom limbs when we are controlling the body" followed by a drawing of a leafeon with flowers and extra tufts of fur and a splotch on the forehead with an arrow pointing from them to and another drawing of the author's body overlayed in red pen with the ears, paws, and tail of the individual in question, depicting the phantom limbs. There is also a drawing of a hand with phantom talons overlayed with red text next to it that states, "Phantoms/phantom limbs can be lots of things!". Below reads, "Phantom limb - a limb that is felt but does not actually exist"

Page 4: Reads, "For most of us, when all theory is stripped away, we are nonhuman for the same reason we are the genders we are - its how we see ourselves, so that is what we are. ____ Sees self as ____ and therefore is:

...and so on! The dysphoria even operates the same way. Dysphoria - discomfort with an aspect of one's body, social role, or how one is perceived"

Page 5: Reads, "If you are wondering if you are nonhuman in some way, ask yourself: what is the shape that feels like the truest you? what resonates as how you see yourself? The statement 'The Biggest symptom of being [gender] is wanting to be [gender]' applies to nonhumanity, too!" Below is a drawing of the theta-delta symbol and text that point to it that reads, "The theta-delta, a therian symbol. Therians are one kind of nonhuman."

Page 6: Reads, "In the end, we identify this way because that is what we are inside. It is the acknowledgement of our true shapes - our truest selves. What is your truest self? We invite you to find it! -End-"

Back: Reads, "About the author: The Dragonheart Collective is an adult nonhuman plural system. They use they/them pronouns collectively and have been in associated communities for over a decade. They have a website here: 'dragonsroost@neocities.org' on this sort of thing. If you liked this zine, check it out." An image of the author's system symbol, a series of crystal fragments arranged loosely in a way that looks like a flower, is below this as well as the year this zine was made, 2025. END IMAGE ID
